2018 Golden Globes: Silver Spun Updo
Mirroring the powerful tone of the evening, Saorise Ronan’s structured updo made a bold statement. It celebrated feminine and masculine details and offered layers of elegant details.
To create the look, Virtue Creative Director Adir Abergel, prepped Ronan’s hair with our Full Shampoo and Full Conditioner to thicken the hair without adding adding weight.
Before blowdrying Abergel layered our Volumizing Whip for lift and our 6-in-1 Styler to protect her strands from heat, while simultaneously adding shine.
Once prepped, he set a deep side part and blowdried her hair with a round brush until completely dry. — Pro tip: “line your part with the arch of your brow for a flattering shape.” – Adir Abergel.
Abergel then loosely curled Ronan's hair to add texture and memory before combing it back into a low ponytail, and then locked the sleek style in with the Finale Shaping Spray. Once the ponytail was secure at the nape of her neck he created a fishtail braid, turned the braid upwards towards the crown and secured in place. To add femininity to the style Abergel spun silver thread through the braid and finished the style with Virtue Finale Shaping Spray for hold.
