2018 Golden Globes: Modern Low Slung Ponytail
The 2018 Golden Globes brought us a moving display of unity and sisterhood. While we donned our finest black ensembles at home, a symbol to stand with the Time’s Up activists, we anxiously awaited the arrival of Jessica Biel wearing another masterful work of art created by Virtue Creative Director Adir Abergel.
This low slung, twine wrapped ponytail did not disappoint!
To create Biel’s low slung pony Adir began by preparing her hair with Virtue Smooth Shampoo and Virtue Smooth Conditioner. “Healthy hair is the foundation of a great style. Prior to blowdrying, Abergel set a deep side part aligned with the arch of Jessica’s brow. He then prepped her hair with our Polish Un-Frizz Cream to keep her hair glossy, smooth, and frizz free.
After her hair was dry he pulled it back, behind the ear, and smoothed the cuticle with a flat iron.
To maintain the “faux bob” silhouette seen from the front Adir sprayed her hair with our Finale Shaping Spray before pulling into a low ponytail. He then wrapped the ponytail with rows of black twine, secured, and finished the style with one more spritz of Finale Shaping Spray for extra hold to last throughout the night.
