2019 Golden Globes: Charlize Theron's 1/2 Up Style

The 76th Annual Golden Globes was a night of beauty and head-turning looks gracing the red carpet, and Globes nominated actress Charlize Theron was among the stars at the top of all the “Best Look” lists. Virtue Creative Director, Adir Abergel, created her chic architectural style inspired by her gown, “The color blocking in the dress inspired me to create complimentary contrast in the hair with the half up style.  I played with dual textures;  high shine in the back with soft texture through the front.”

On Globes day, Abergel created a deep side part, then flat ironed Charlize’s hair in sections for a smooth  shiny finish.

He then smoothed Virtue Polish Un-Frizz Cream throughout, from roots to ends. He clipped the top side-swept section away from the rest of the hair and brushed the remainder of Charlize’s hair away from the face so it would lay flat against her neck.

For the soft satin finish on the side-swept hair, Abergel applied the new Virtue Texturizing Spray which created a beautiful touchability and movement to the front. To complete the look, Abergel took sections of hair from either side of the temple and secured them below the crown with a hair elastic that he then bound with black thread.
