2020 SAG Awards: Reese Witherspoon's Modern Deep Side Part

Actress Reese Witherspoon took to the silver carpet with a modern deep side part full of movement and shine by celebrity hairstylist, Lona Vigi, using Virtue products.

“Reese’s dress has this very old Hollywood, almost Art Deco sense to it, with beautiful beading and lots of weight to the dress itself. Initially I was thinking to add more texture to the hair, but sometimes when the dress takes on a vibe from a different and distinct decade, it’s better to not lean into that era because it can come across as costume-ie. So, then we thought, well, what’s the opposite of that? To me, that was straight hair that has polish and movement. We went with a side part to give it more drama and red-carpet appeal,” says Vigi.

To get the look, Vigi advises to think about switching your part, “Switching your part around can create more of a difference than people realize! In fact, the longer we wear our same part, the more we wear the hair down in that area and cause breakage,” advised Vigi.
