To create this beautiful textured crown braid Adir begins by applying a golf ball sized amount of the Moisture-Defining Whip all over the hairline and crown. Use hair clips to pinch pieces up to create lift, and set with a diffuser. Remove your clips to reveal broken-up texture that frames the face.

Then split into two sections and tie off with elastic bands.

Before you begin the braids puff a few sprays of the Lifting Powder into the lengths of the hair to create a beautiful foundation with memory and grit. Then do a simple 3-piece braid, and tie off. Add a few more puffs of Lifting Powder, then pinch and pull the braids outwards to add fullness and texture.

Bring the first braid up and over the crown of the head, and pin into place. Then take the other side up and over like the first, tuck the ends under the first braid, and pin it into place.

From the back you’ll want to hide the elastics, pinch the loose hair on either side of the elastic together, cover the band, and pin in place.

Adir likes to pull a few face framing pieces out to make it a bit more romantic.
