“I fell in love with the lines of Vanessa’s dress and wanted to follow the same simple lines with her hair. I looked to early 90’s minimalist photography and architecture for inspiration and decided on a center part, slicked back mid-chignon. We lightened Vanessa’s hair by two shades to give it more of an icy blonde hue. The focus was on healthy, high shine with architectural interest to complete the look,” shared Adir Abergel.

To get the look, Adir started by using Virtue Color Revival Kit, which features the Virtue Restorative Treatment Mask and Virtue ColorKick® to hydrate and strengthen Vanessa’s newly colored hair. Adir then applied his favorite product cocktail, Virtue Un-Frizz Cream and Virtue Healing Oil to seal and protect the hair prior to blowing it dry. To achieve the ultra-smooth finish he desired, Adir used a flat iron to help add shine to the hair.

To start the updo style, he connected both sides of the hair back to create a sleek undercut effect. Then, he produced a strong middle part and pulled the rest of the hair into a ponytail, twisting it into a chignon, purposely leaving the end out of the bun. Abergel finished the look by applying Virtue Healing Oil for extra shine and Virtue Shaping Spray for extra hold. The final style has a duality of both hard and soft lines.
