2020 Golden Globes: Charlize Theron’s Sleek Pixie Cut
“We have seen Charlize with iterations of the bowl cut for the last few months,” shared Abergel. “This new variation of her short style takes the bowl cut in a new direction with a golden goddess like blonde hue. I was inspired by the beautiful movement of the dress that had Grecian influence yet had a modern structured bodice. I wanted to mimic that in the hair by creating a golden toned style with architecture lines and movement.”
Abergel began by cutting Charlize’s hair tighter around the sides and back. He left the top longer to allow for a deep side swept part.
For intense shine, Abergel applied the NEW Virtue Healing Oil, protein powered hair oil – the first of its kind multi-tasking treatment oil and reparative protein in one – to set the foundation for the style. Virtue’s proprietary Alpha Keratin 60ku® powers this unique hair oil to repair while adding shine, taming frizz, and eliminating flyaways. Simply shake the oil to activate a fresh dose with every pump.
He blow dried the hair with a Denman flat brush, and rounded the ends with a flat iron for an accentuated sleek finish. To complete the style, Abergel combined Virtue Un-Frizz Cream and another dose of Virtue Healing Oil smoothed throughout the top of the hair to eliminate any flyways.
