2018 Academy Awards: Linear Blunt Bob

"I’ve been wanting to cut her hair into a severe bob for a while," Adir Abergel told Allure of Saoirse Ronan’s brand new blunt bob debuted at the 90th annual Academy Awards. "Saoirse loves the cut,” he added, "It feels completely like her and it feels young and cool.”

On the eve of the industries biggest awards show Adir met-up with Ronan for a late night chop. He wanted her to have the day to sit with the new modern linear ‘do to get a comfortable feel for the new style.

For the big reveal he was inspired by minimalism and wanted to accentuate the sleek line with high-shine and smooth texture. The elegance of this look was in the shape rather than the details and accessories that we’ve seen so much of this season.

To prep Saoirse’s hair Adir cleansed with Recovery shampoo to gently remove product build-up and impurities and then rinsed with Recovery conditioner to restore vital nutrients creating smooth, supple strands for her red carpet reveal.
